UNDERSTAND HOW TO MANAGE CONTRACTS AND CONTRACTORS IN THE WORKPLACE - City&Guilds/ILM Unit Certificate.
Overview
This course concentrates on managing contracts and contractors to ensure commitments are fully delivered to required standards.
The course has a strong practical and interactive focus to ensure practical results.

Understanding communication needs;
Improving your understanding of contract control;
Developing best practice in contract management
Content:
• Basis of contract law
• Types of contract
• Contract management procedures and tools
• Contract monitoring and evaluation – including penalties and rewards
• Commissioning new contracts
• Contract communication and information systems
• Contract control and redress
Duration:
The course is run either in the evenings or daytime.
Participants spend 2 evenings in the public class and back this up with experience outside the classroom.
The course can also be taken privately over a single day and we agree the date to suit your diary.
Entry:
The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM ) operates an ‘Open Entry’ policy but prospective participants should be able to apply what they learn on the course in an organisational setting (need not be in a job).
Certification:
Participants receive the Griffin College Certificate in Managing Contracts and Contractors.
Participants have the option to receive the City&Guilds/ILM Unit Certificate in how to 'Understand how to manage contracts and contractors in the workplace' on completion of a written assignment and payment of the City&Guilds/ILM student registration and certification fees.
