Construction Supervisor

Course Overview
The construction supervisor plays a key role in the organisation as the bridge between senior management and construction personnel.
 
This course covers key aspects of construction supervisory management and will discuss relevant management issues such as health and safety, induction of new staff, and leadership skills in motivating people and meeting targets.
 
Content - This course covers three units:
8600-321 Understanding Health and Safety in the Workplace;
8600-316 Understanding the Induction of New Staff in the Workplace; and 
8600-308 Understanding Leadership 
 
This course content is tailored to construction supervisors and the issues they deal with on a daily basis on construction projects.
 
Duration: This course runs over two full days.
 
Entry: Entry is open and participants do not need any other qualifications to join it.
 
Certification - Option No 1: All participants receive the Griffin College Certificate in Construction Supervisor Skills.
 
Certification - Option No 2: In addition, participants have the option to complete three practical written assignments which lead to the Award in Leadership and Management of the City&Guilds/ILM (comparable to Level 5 in the NFQ).
 
Engineers Ireland: Griffin College is an Engineers Ireland Registered Provider and members of Engineers Ireland also qualify for one day's CPD credit for completing the course.
