Understand security measures in the workplace and associated legislation:

Identify and explain security measures in the workplace
Describe relevant legislation affecting security measures in the workplace

Understand whether the prescribed security measures are effective in the organisation:

Examine the effectiveness of prescribed security measures in the workplace
Identify potential gaps between the intentions of prescribed security measures and what happens in practice

Know how to identify improvements to existing security measures:

State appropriate improvements to security measures based on the most important potential weaknesses identified.

Duration: 

The course is run either in the evenings or daytime.

Participants spend 2 evenings in the public class and back this up with experience outside the classroom.

The course can also be taken privately over a single day and we agree the date to suit your diary.

Entry: 

The College operates an ‘Open Entry’ policy but prospective participants should be able to apply what they learn on the course in an organisational setting (need not be in a job).

Certification: 

Participants receive the Griffin College Unit Certificate in Security Measures in the Workplace

Participants have the option to receive the Security Measures in the Workplace – ABSD Awards – Level 4 (UK) / Level 6 (IRL) Unit Certificate on completion of a written assignment and payment of the ABSD Awards student registration and certification fees.

ABSD AWARDS – Awarding Body for Sustainable Development – is based in the UK and recognised internationally.

Griffin College is a Recognised ABSD Awards centre.
